Agriculture, Water, Health: New prospects for rural youth in Uganda
Uganda has one of the youngest populations in Africa, with an average age of less than 16 years. 80 % of the
unemployed are youth. The country faces significant challenges in meeting the needs of the youth. Especially in
rural regions, young people have hardly any career prospects, little access to age-appropriate services and find
weak infrastructures. The TeamUp program aims to demonstrate that a multisectoral approach can efficiently create
attractive and healthy living conditions for young people in rural areas.
